The proprietor of Central Star Automotive Queensland Pty Ltd noted the vehicle had a faulty air mass meter as well as a faulty and failing water pump. The proprietor made enquiry of AWN and in doing so sought approval to undertake repairs and replacement under the provisions of my policy. AWN extended approval for the work and met the cost.

I wish to take this opportunity to say that in terms of acquiring motor vehicles, obtaining extended warranty cover with AWN Pty Ltd was one of the best actions I have ever undertaken. I also wish it to be known that your service delivery is excellent, your fairness in interpreting claims is excellent, and your timely intervention in regard to concluding claims is excellent. I propose to utilise your services again in the future where necessary and I will have no hesitation in recommending your services to anybody who might make enquiries of me regarding extended warranty matters.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to sincerely thank you for the way our recent claim was handled by your company. We pay over $15,000 a year on various insurances and have never made any claims. On the Friday that the starter motor in our 4T van stopped working I contacted NRMA firstly and then once it was found to be more serious I then contacted Australian Warranty Network. Danica advised me that your preferred auto-electrician was in Moorebank but I was in Minto and would have needed a tow by a specialist truck tower. Further, by the time I would have got there the van would not be fixed until the Monday, necessitating 3 nights' accommodation as well, not to mention huge inconvenience.

There was an auto-electrician where I was who could replace the starter motor straight away and after a few short minutes Danica had it approved by AWN management for us to use that one instead of the preferred one.

I can't thank you enough for your service. This simple act saved us so much time, hassle and money, you have no idea! I am sure that many other companies do not have the same logic and sense that you have displayed on this occasion, and you should all be commended, Danica in particular.

I just want to write you a note and express how happy I was with my experience with Australian Warranty Network.

I bought my BMW 120i from Pickles auctions in Belmore last August and luckily the representative there advised me to purchase your product. I settled on the Extreme product because I expect to keep the vehicle for quite a few years. I must admit that when I told my friends about the AWN warranty they thought I was taken for a ride and were extremely dubious. How wrong they were! Yesterday I rang your office after hearing a strange noise coming from my engine. The customer service representative was extremely helpful in helping me locate one of your approved repairers only a short distance from my work. The staff at Artarmon Automotive Chris and Eddie were extremely helpful in diagnosing the problem, contacting Australian Warranty Network and getting approval for the repair. Although they were extremely busy they returned my car to me as quickly as possible. While the AWN warranty seemed expensive at the time of purchase it has almost paid for itself in this one claim.

I am currently looking for a vehicle for my wife and this experience with Australian Warranty Network has given me the peace of mind to buy another vehicles from Pickles.

I just thought I would let you know, the work on my bike was completed and all is well.

Also wanted to thank you for you assistance, I know that warranty can be complicated but you helped make the whole thing roll smoothly and I wanted you to know I appreciated it.

I am writing you this letter to commend Christian on an exceptional job.

He has been looking after my warranty claim for my Holden Jackaroo. I am pleased with the amount of time and effort that he has put into getting my car back to me. Christian has always kept me informed with what has been happening with the progress of my car. He has also made sure that the parts that were needed to fix my car arrived asap, which to me is a fantastic effort.

I wish to thank Australian Warranty Network for honouring your Contract with me. My car has unfortunately had some issues and you have come to the assistance twice now for which I am very grateful.

As a message to any prospective purchasers of a used motor vehicle I suggest to them (and it's only my opinion) the following:

  • Purchase a vehicle from a car yard and take out the best warranty on offer with AWN.
  • Understand what is covered i.e. read the documentation to avoid misunderstandings. Understand if the engine oil or any other fluid leaks out and cooks a component you probably won't be covered. There are specific items you are covered for. It's more like insurance.
  • The first three months from the purchase of a second hand vehicle falls under a 3 months statutory warranty and the Motor Dealer should be responsible for any repairs and not simply AWN. My car was on a hoist for nine days after it broke down in its first week of purchase. The issue was with the dealer not Australian Warranty Network who in fact authorised my car's repair even though there was still a question as to who was to pay.

My car was repaired by Selective Motors at Breakfast Creek and did a wonderful job as well as washing my car to boot.
