Step 1. Download and complete a “Transfer of Warranty/Insurance” form

This form allows you to fill in the fields before printing.

Please note: be aware that this process will involve an inspection of the asset.

Step 2. Submit your documents

To transfer the benefits of an AWN Mechanical Breakdown Warranty/Insurance, you must submit the following documents to AWN within 7 days of change of ownership of the vehicle:

  • A fully completed and signed “Transfer of Warranty/Insurance form”.
  • Paperwork from the transport department, confirming the vehicle has been transferred into your name.
  • Current Roadworthy Certificate/Safety Inspection (if applicable in the state of registration).

Step 3. Wait for confirmation of the transfer

After submitting your documents, and within 3 business days of successful transfer, you will receive a confirmation email including a copy of the amended disclosure documents.
